Our founder Carmen Tapio is a servant-leader who believes that through economic development and the upward mobility of all people, individuals, families and communities win.



Member Spotlight-Camelea Mendoza

Camelea is passionate about Nebraska Black Women United. When asked what advice she would give to other members about how to invite others to join she stated, “invite people to do something different, to step outside of their comfort zone and to make lifelong connections!” We are extremely honored to have Camelea’s leadership on behalf of Nebraska Black Women United.
